Treating Inflamed Fungal Nappy Rash

For inflamed fungal nappy rash, your doctor or pharmacist may advise the use of a combined anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal cream with a follow-on anti-fungal treatment. These are available with consultation from a pharmacist or doctor.

Canesten Extra Clotrimazole & Hydrocortisone Cream 30g

Canesten Extra Clotrimazole & Hydrocortisone Cream is a combined approach of an anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory treatment to treat the cause of the infection and soothe the associated inflammation, pain and redness. Apply twice a day for no more than 7 days, followed by an anti-fungal cream for 14 days. Suitable for children 2 years and over.

For general nappy rash use a breathable barrier nappy rash cream such as Bepanthen Nappy Rash. Bepanthen Nappy Rash contains the ingredient dexpanthenol to help soothe and prevent nappy rash.
